On November 6, 2005 at 6:37 am the junta decided to move Burma’s capital from Yangon to Naypyidaw…based on advice from astrologers. A few days later on November 11, 11 governmental departments, 11 military units, and 1,100 military trucks made the 300 km journey to their new middle of nowhere capital. Thousands of government officials were forced to uproot their lives and live in this enormous and empty city.
